My story
My True Calling
My name is Michelle Nova — Soprano, Bel Canto teacher and choral director. I have taught children and adults since 1994, founded a female vocal ensemble in 2005, and am a published author of *Singing Bel Canto – Art & Science*. I also spent over 30yrs researching and developing the healing effects of singing, colour, and musical vibration, and
I am a member of AOTOS, ISM, NVN.

I studied Bel Canto technique in London, trained further at The Royal Opera House, and was a founder member of Floral Street Opera. My career has centred on concert work in the UK and abroad, along with directing choirs of all ages.
Before my musical career, I trained as a nurse, but I later realised that singing was my true calling.

Bel Canto transformed my understanding of the voice, and when learning its specific breathing technique, it revealed that singing is a source of profound healing vibrations and energy.
We are made of energy, frequency and vibration, and good health and wellbeing comes from being in harmony and in resonance. When vibrations are blocked, we experience imbalance; when restored, we return to wellbeing.
My lifelong curiosity about creation, the universe, and the power of music, led me to explore the voice, colour, and music as tools for profound healing. Through years of teaching, research, and facilitating workshops—supporting children and adults with diverse needs—I have repeatedly witnessed how vibration can transform mental, emotional, and physical health.
