    Meet the instructor

    Michelle Nova

I am a soprano, singing teacher of Bel Canto technique and choral director of my own female vocal ensemble since 2005, a published author of ‘Singing Bel Canto – Art & Science’, workshop and course facilitator, researcher and teacher on the healing powers of singing, colour and music vibrations and its applications, and I have been teaching singing to children and adults in schools, university and privately since 1994.
I sang live on Classic FM, written articles on Bel Canto and the voice for national magazines, and been interviewed on BBC Radio.

I am a member of AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing, MISM (Member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and NVN (Natural Voice Network.

Before my singing career I trained as a nurse, however I have always sung from a young child, only realising later that my true calling was to become a singer and teacher. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of my path to voice vibrational healing and that working as a nurse was a great asset to my future path.  I studied Bel Canto technique in London, with further training in performance and opera at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and becoming a founder member of Floral Street Opera. As well as teaching, my singing career has mainly been on the concert platform across England and abroad and I have also formed and directed children’s and adult’s choirs.

Over the past 30yrs I have been researching into the power of the voice and its applications. I now teach and use the voice vibrations for healing, special needs, and mentally and physically disabled adults and children, stress, anxiety, pain, depression, distant healing and so much more.

More information about myself can be found on my website: www.lanovastudios.co.uk

The moment I knew singing was not only for singing songs but something much more powerful:
I first experienced the powerful voice vibrations when learning the Bel Canto vocal technique and how to connect the air to the resonance spaces in centre of the head. The vibrations were so powerful and could be felt through the body, which allowed the voice to be free. Suddenly I felt my whole head, brain and spine moved as if it was swaying in wave like motion.

THIS WAS THE MOMENT I KNEW THE VOICE WAS MUCH MORE THAN JUST FOR SINGING AND THIS WAS MY NEW PATH!
